A growing category of yufin merchants are neighbourhood laundromats in tier 2 and tier 3 towns.

Many people have less time, don’t want to invest in a washing machine but want to use their favourite detergents and fabric softeners.

Enter the neighbourhood laundry taking a min. of 5 kg load and offering everything from a simple wash to wash+softener+drying+crisp folding and packing in a neat bag. BYO D&S (detergent and softener) optional.
8 to 10 Maytag or LG industrial machines on lease, a couple of large water tanks (to ride over periodic water cuts) and two staff to operate the machines twelve hours a day.
~30-40 customers a day and unit price between $1 to $4 depending on the services.
All cash for now. Higher margins than traditional neighbourhood small businesses.
